Deleting Files and Directories with DEL and RD / RMDIR Commands MS-DOS 3.2 Tandy Computer. I give a brief demonstration on how to delete files and directories in DOS using the DEL and RD commands from my Tandy computer.
To delete a file, type delete and the file name like shown below (without quotes):
Then simply press enter to complete.
To delete a directory, first make sure it's contents are empty. (If there are any files in it, you will want to delete or move them first.) Then type (without quotes):
Press enter to complete deletion.
As an alternative to RD, you can also use RMDIR.
